ABOUT THE AUTHOR David E. Roth was born along the Ohio River at Martins Ferry, Ohio in 1952. He is a graduate of Ohio University. In 1983 Dave and his wife Robin founded Blue & Gray Magazine out of their abiding love of the American Civil War. The award-winning, nonpartisan publication is highly respected by scholars and students alike. The Roths reside in the Columbus, Ohio area and have three children, Jason, Jessica and Jennifer.
